Academic Games
-
Detroit Public Schools Community District is proud to sponsor our award-winning Academic Games teams. Academic Games is a series of games designed to excite and measure student knowledge on a variety of themes. Students develop proficiency and self-confidence by competing in games of Math, English, Social Studies, and Logic. By competing against each other, students are encouraged and motivated to sharpen their skills to gain a competitive edge over their peers. Academic Games are not only exciting but make learning fun for students! If you are interested in starting an Academic Games team at your school, please contact your school’s administrator or LaShawn Sims.
The regular Academic Games season typically takes place from September to February. For teams that qualify, the state tournament is in March and the national tournament is in April.
