• COVID-19 NOTICE: Partner organizations should be aware that no partnership application, agreement, or renewal can guarantee that program activities and services will occur as usual this year. Partner organizations require written permission from the Office of Partnerships to engage with students. Those entering school buildings must adhere to all of the district's COVID-19 safety requirements, and those connecting with students virtually can only do so after passing a district background check and obtaining parent/guardian consent for the students with whom they work. For more information about delivering program services during the pandemic, please contact the Partnerships Office directly.

WELCOME!

  • Detroit Public Schools Community District is generously supported by a diverse range of strategic partners. Our partners are comprised of companies, organizations, and individuals who are committed to the success of our students and District. We invite you to partner with us by providing support for special programs, in-kind services, and targeted resources that contribute to the enhancement of the educational environment and academic achievement of our students.

    Community Partner Map

The best way to see which organizations have active partnerships with the District is to visit the Community Partner Map, developed through a collaboration with United Way of Southeastern Michigan. This exciting tool (which works best on Chrome and worst on Explorer/Edge) provides stakeholders across our community with easy-to-access digital information about the services that partners provide to our district.

Easy Start Checklist for Partnership Applications

This checklist was designed to provide general guidelines for DPSCD staff and prospective partner(s) desiring to offer programs/activities at no cost to the District. Please ensure that your proposed activities align with the Blueprint: 2020 Strategic Plan and complete all items on the checklist below before proceeding with any programming in the District. Thank you!

  • New Applications for Fall 2021

Our brand-new, automated partnership application system, which dramatically accelerates the process for becoming an official District partner, is now live! Prospective partners should familiarize themselves with the documents on this page, especially the Easy Start Checklist, before starting the process. If you do not yet have an Endorser at the District level, please start by submitting the Find Endorser Survey. Once you have an Endorser, you can complete the Partnership Application. Partners that wish to begin operations within the District at the start of the fall semester should submit their applications no later than May 31.

    Renewing Existing Parntership Agreements

In May, existing partners can expect to be contacted about renewing their agreements with the District. This process, also brand-new, will enable partners, school leaders, and endorsers to reflect on program implementation and provide feedback to one another.
