2022 Robert A. Schuele Scholarship
The 2022 Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Application Portal is now open. The Robert A. Schuele Scholarship is a full-ride four-year scholarship. For more than fifteen years, the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship has awarded scholarships to students who have graduated from some of Michigan’s finest colleges and universities including: Central Michigan University, College for Creative Studies, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. Several hundred students apply each year with somewhere between nine and twelve students being selected for an interview.
Applicants selected for an interview will receive a $250 scholarship with the successful candidate being awarded the four-year full-ride scholarship. Fox 2 Detroit featured the surprise presentation of the 2019 Schuele Scholarship Recipient Grace Rost and C&G Newspapers profiled Noah Suitt’s selection in 2016. Donovan Johnson & Caria Taylor were selected as recipients in 2021. These are great examples of the way the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship positively “Rocks the World” of the recipients.

The Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Fund was established to honor the life of a friend, a family man, and a business professional. The intention of the Robert A. Schuele Scholarship Fund is to grant a scholarship award in an amount that will secure the attendance of a student at a major college or university in Michigan. The Trustees are searching for an applicant who has outstanding character, demonstrated commitment to academic studies, significant financial need and who will take advantage of the mentoring and networking resources the Trustees intend to offer to maximize the recipient's educational experience.

Scholarship funds shall be used only for college tuition, fees, room and board, and books and materials. The Robert A. Schuele Scholarship will be given on an equal opportunity basis. Skill Trades Scholarship - Community Choice Foundation
At Community Choice Credit Union, we believe strongly that access to education is one of the keys to helping people achieve the life they desire. Since its inception in 2009, the Foundation has granted $1.3 million in scholarships. We're offering another 25 scholarships for a total of $100,000.
Between now and 2028 there will be an average of 47,000 skilled trade job openings each year. Many skilled trade students often have fewer financial options for furthering their education. Our skilled trade scholarships allow more vocational students to achieve their educational and career goals and help to build a better future for Michigan.
Anyone who lives, works or worships in the state of Michigan is eligible for our scholarship that can be used for any accredited two/four-year degree, or certification programs in the state of Michigan. Each online application must be accompanied by an essay on the following topic:
“…tell us how you demonstrate the credit union value of “people helping people.” If possible, include an example of a time you have given back, or made a difference in your school, community, or workplace. Then, tell us how you plan to continue to “Give Big” to your community, school, or the state of Michigan after you complete your program and begin, or further, your career.”
Students can apply at MichiganScholarship.com by February 28, 2022. Thank you for your willingness to share this information and support education in Michigan.
