Detroit Public Schools Community District strives to make all content on our websites accessible.
Accessible means a person with a disability is afforded the opportunity to acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services as a person without a disability in an equally effective and equally integrated manner, within the same timeframes, and with substantially equivalent ease of use.
Web Accessibility Compliance Standards
The District is committed to compliance with the provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), 29 U.S.C. § 794, and its implementing regulation at 34 C.F.R. Part 104, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
The District will adhere to the applicable and existing standards for website accessibility, including the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C’s) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA (WCAG 2.1).
