Division of Operations

  • The Division of Operations of the Detroit Public Schools Community District provides essential services to support the mission of educating and empowering our students. We are committed to ensuring the District operates at its optimum capacity. Our division strives to incorporate the District’s Core Values and increase student pride in their schools through work delivered by the following departments: 

    • Department of Business Operations - Uses best practices to ensure the Division maintains responsisble stewardship to support students' success
    • Department of Facilities – Enhances student achievement by effectively planning and managing District facilities to support learning
    • Office of School Nutrition – Supports the educational development of our students by providing healthy breakfast and a variety of nutritional lunch options for K-12 students at no charge
    • Office of Student Transportation – Offers students safe, effective transportation service to and from school
