To date, we have hosted over 30 engagement sessions to include the community in the plans we have for the District. This has resulted in 2,210 attendees and 360 respondents online with 80% of the participants responding in favor of the planned investments. 

From these conversations, the District was able to magnify the following:

• Building infrastructure (roofs, heating, air conditioning) 
• Classrooms with 21st century technology 
• Physical and mental health support spaces
• Green, high-efficiency buildings 

Top ranked outcomes of the Facility Master Plan:

• Improved student academics, health and wellness 
• Improving teacher experience 
• Improving neighborhoods through school presence and involvement 
• Developing new and strengthening partnerships 

Top ranked partnership opportunities: 

• Career and technical education 
• K-8 afterschool enrichment 
• Making use of existing assets in Detroit
