All City Concerts and ShowcasesHistory of Achievement in the Arts
For numerous years, the all-city performances organized by DPSCD have provided a platform for schools citywide to unite. All City Marching Band Ensemble
This year has been a landmark for the DPSCD All City Marching Band! The historical ensemble made a powerful appearance in this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, featuring nearly 150 students—the largest representation in recent history. Under the leadership of our dedicated DPSCD Band Directors, students from 10 different high schools came together weekly throughout the fall, uniting as one band, one sound to prepare for this remarkable event. Highlighting our deep connection to the city, the band proudly performed "Hello Detroit" during their televised slot on WDIV.
A significant milestone this year was the introduction of new band uniforms and dance costumes, adorned with the iconic Olde English D. This marks the first major uniform investment by the District in recent years, underscoring our commitment to celebrating and supporting our talented students. DPSCD All City Marching Band continues to exemplify excellence, unity, and pride for our schools and community! If you missed the performance or want to catch it again, please check out the recorded livestream.
