Detroit Public Schools Community District is pursuing an adoption of new instructional materials for Social Studies Grades 5-11.
We invite members of the community, parents, and students to:
- Participate in a structured session to learn why it is necessary to align a new grades 5-11 Social Studies curriculum to state standards
- Learn about the adoption process, time-line, and key stakeholder engagement opportunities
- Review Social Studies grades 5-11 curriculum choices for the 2020-2021 school year and provide feedback
