Our Programs

The Office of Exceptional Student Education oversees the following programs that support the District’s mission of educating students and empowering them to meet their educational goals.

Social Work with the Hearing Impaired - The Office of School Social Work Services provides services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing student population and their families. ASL-certified School Social Workers provide all support.

Essential Skills Transition Program @ Diann Banks - The Essential Skills Transition Program @ Diann Banks provides individualized instruction and transitional programs and services for students aged 18-26 with mild cognitive impairments.

The DPSCD Special Olympics - The DPSCD Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with disabilities in our ESE programs.

Parent Advisory Committee - DPSCD's Parent Advisory Committee empowers parents, guardians, and grandparents of students with an active individualized education program (IEP).
