The Student Records team provides transcripts, education verifications and duplicate diplomas to former students. Transcripts and education verifications are often requested to pursue higher education, employment opportunities and to establish personal identification.
Where Do I Request My Record?
The District manages records requests for the class of 2018 through the class of 1960. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Education guidelines, the District archives records for 60 years (records after 1960 are not available for fulfullment).
Active Students/Recent Graduates
If you are looking to submit a records request for the class of 2019 or later (including out-of-district transfer requests), please contact the current/last school attended.
Special Education Requests
If you are looking to request a special education record, please contact the Exceptional Student Education Department.
Online Requests
To submit an online request, please use our online portal by clicking one of the links below. You must upload an acceptable form of identification to our secure site at the time of submission.

Acceptable Forms of Identification
When submitting your request online, you must upload a clear copy of your current identification to obtain a copy of your student records. The following documents are accepted:
- Driver's License
- State I.D.
- Passport
- Birth Certificate
- Court Documents
- Utility Bills
- Medical Records
- Insurance Documents
- Mail with Identifying Names and Addresses
Walk Up Center
Our walk-up center is currently closed. If you are unable to submit your request online via the links above, you may mail in your records request with a copy of an acceptable form of identification. We are not servicing customers face-to-face at this time.Mailing Address

We do not process records on weekends, holidays and during District periods of closure. Please allow an additional 14 days for mail requests
How Do I Check the Status of My Request?
If the processing timelines has been exceeded and you have not received your records request, you may inquire on the status in the following ways:- Contact our Customer Care & IT Support team Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. at (313) 240-4377. This team can provide you with status updates and manages escalations.
