Detroit Public Schools Community District utilizes the Microsoft Office 365 for Education solution to support the productivity and creative needs of our classrooms and business offices. The Microsoft Office 365 environment allows flexibility of use between the application and the cloud (online), promotes teamwork and collaboration, provides tools for creativity and accessibility, as well as tools to protect users, devices and data.
Office 365 Professional Plus includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote, Sway and Teams just to name a few. Staff and students of the Detroit Public Schools Community District have five (5) Office 365 Professional Plus licenses available to them to install the application on your personal Apple, Android, and Windows devices. This will allow you to work at home, at a friend’s house, at the library, coffee shop, or at a relative’s house in another state with the latest Office applications and files at your fingertips.
How to access Office 365 Professional Plus
- Desktop: Visit Microsoft Office Home
- Mobile & Tablet: Visit the Android Play store or Apple iTunes Store

Step 1: Navigate to Microsoft Office Home
Step 2: Click the Install Office button in the upper right corner of the page. (Need help? Read the Installation and Support Guide)
Step 3: Activate with your Office 365 Organizational Account from your school
Once you have downloaded the software, you will be prompted to authorize the use of your available Office 365 ProPlus licenses by using your Detroit Public Schools Community District Office 365 email credentials (district email address and password).
