• College & Career Readiness

The Office of College and Career Readiness provides an unyielding commitment to making sure our students are prepared for college and that our career pathways seamlessly lead to higher education and the global workforce.

We offer programming for students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, Detroit Allied Health Middle College High School, and Adult Education.

Through our Career and Technical Education programs, we give high school students the chance to start preparing for college and careers. CTE students will learn how core school subjects like math, science, and writing are used in real life while participating in hand-on training and gain real world experience through job shadowing and internships. Many programs offer the opportunity to earn nationally recognized certifications, which assists in the students chosen pathway of college and/or careers.

Our Detroit Adult Education Program provides adult learners the opportunity to upgrade their academic skills at several different locations. We offer free High School Completion, General Educational Development (GED), Adult Basic Education (Pre-GED), English as a Second Language (ESL) and Detroit Learning Lab (GED Preparation).
