PRIDE month is an opportunity to be visible — to peacefully celebrate, march, protest, and raise political awareness of current issues in the LGBTQ+ community. Often those in the LGBTQ+ community are ignored or shunned by family, friends, and community supports. It is important that we take the time to honor the strengths the LGBTQ+ community brings to our District and the greater world.
