By positioning DSA as the premier performing and fine arts high school in Metro Detroit, students have a unique opportunity to combine outstanding academics and arts instruction, and connect with acclaimed professional artists via residencies, master classes, and workshops at the following schools:

Middle School Arts Conservatories: Grades 6 - 8

    • BRENDA SCOTT ACADEMY FOR THEATRE ARTS
    • EDWARD ‘DUKE’ ELLINGTON CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC & ART AT BECKHAM ACADEMY
    • JOHN R. KING ACADEMIC AND PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY

    • Detroit School of Arts

To make this process easier for students and their families, the District will provide free bus transportation from the four middle schools to DSA, seamlessly connecting the conservatory graduates to their new high school in the heart of Midtown Detroit.
