CT Fired Up! Cass Tech Orchestra and Band Rises at State Competition

Whether in the classroom or in extracurricular activities, Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) students continue to rise. Congratulations to nearly a dozen students of the Cass Technical High School Orchestra and Band for being recognized for their stellar performances at the recent Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s State Solo and Ensemble Festival at South Lyon High School.    

Take a look at the Cass Tech State Festival Medal recipients:

Second Division Medals for solo performance – Justyn Wall, Ethan Brown, and Taylor Lewis.

First Division Medals for ensemble performance – Addison Hunter, Isabella Lindo, Steven Alonso, Mari Montgomery, Jaden Anderson, Taylor Lewis, Zharia Hunter, David Blakenship, & Anisa Sewell.

First Division Medal for solo performance – David Blakenship and Jabez Williams.

AND THE HUGE HONOR of being nominated for The Outstanding Ensemble Competition – Jaden Anderson, Taylor Lewis, Zharia Hunter, David Blakenship, & Anisa Sewell.
