DPSCD Students Rise by Achieving Perfect Attendance
All day, every day!
That’s what dozens and dozens of Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) students accomplished in the first semester of the 2021-22 school year. And their regular and consistent attendance at school (whether online or in person) will be recognized at the annual First Semester Perfect Attendance Awards on Friday, February 18, 2022.
These students embody the District’s Core Value of Excellence—be relentless in your pursuit of greatness, holding themselves and others to high standards which includes making every school day count, whether the classroom is online or in a brick-and-mortar DPSCD school.
An emailed invitation will be sent from a DPSCD leader inviting students to the virtual ceremony. Students will receive a certificate and more importantly, a douse of self-esteem that goes with being a First Semester Perfect Attendance awardee.
In the interim, the District invites eligible students and families to save the date of Friday, February 18 for the ceremony that will be held via Microsoft Teams starting at 10 a.m. All our students are encouraged to aspire toward achieving perfect attendance! You never know what you’ll miss when you are not in school!
The community is also reminded that the winter count period is fast approaching, with Count Day, winter edition, slated for Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
