Superintendent Vitti has made it one of the District’s priorities to increase the number of students who meet college readiness standards. We are aligning our work and outcomes to the Detroit Promise and programs such as the Heart of Detroit to enable more students to pass the SAT and be prepared for college.

The district has also created SAT classes in all high schools at the 10th and 11th-grade levels, expanded college visits, increased opportunities for students to earn college credit while in high school, and we have placed college advisors in high schools. The District’s vision is that all students will have the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to thrive in Detroit, our nation and our world. We are extremely proud to be a partner with WSU and the City in providing the future generation with the best educational opportunities.

Thank you WSU President Wilson for doing your part to help students rise.
