DPSCD Families,

As part of the District's $94.4 million literacy lawsuit plan and our commitment to ensuring every student reaches their full academic potential, Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) is offering free after-school online tutoring to support students in strengthening their literacy skills before spring assessments. This initiative aligns with our Blueprint 2027 Strategic Plan and Literacy Plan, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality academic support.

This targeted tutoring program is designed to provide additional instruction to help students improve proficiency levels before end-of-year testing.  Tutoring will take place from March 31st – May 9^th, and students must commit to four hours per week to maximize progress. To participate in after school tutoring students must have access to a laptop or desktop computer and the internet.  If you would like your student to participate in tutoring but you do not have access to a device at home our partners at the Detroit Public Library offer laptop and hotspot rental at no charge to families.  For more information to rent please visit the link:  https://detroitpubliclibrary.org/news/laptop-to-go-at-the-detroit-public-library.  Please note that students will not be paid for participation in this program.
