2019 Black History Month Door Decorating Contest
Congratulations to the 2019 Black History Month Door Decorating Contest winners from Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School! Twelfth-grade Resource Teachers for Exceptional Student Education, Ms. Jackson and Ms. Wilson received the most positive feedback on the District’s social media channels for their door named “The Legacy of Dr. King and the Reality of the Dream.” The inspiration of the door come from the school bearing its namesake Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Thank you to all 47 schools and Good News Ambassadors who submitted photos of their inspirational Black History Month decoration. This was a great way for the District to come together and show the spirit and celebration of our rich African American History. Stay tuned for an opportunity for teachers to share their stories of how they help students to rise as we prepare for Teacher Appreciation Month in May.
