Detroit Public Schools Community District offers a variety of specialty, application-based schools and programs that offer students unique learning experiences. Offerings include Gifted and Talented, Foreign Language Immersion, Aviation, Science and Medicine, Fine and Performing Arts, African-Centered Education, Single-Gender Education and more. Students who attend our Application Schools excel in critical and creative thinking and thrive in settings where they can explore their passions. We invite you to attend a Virtual Open House or K-8 or High School Webinar showcasing each school. All six High Schools are also hosting Virtual 8th Grade Visits. We look forward to connecting with you and your students.
Admissions Overview:
The District offers a common online application with supplemental components for individual schools, such as an exam, essay questions, interviews, etc. If accepted, students must submit enrollment forms and documentation to secure their seat.
