Pre-Kindergarten Class

Mark Twain School for Scholars has started Pre-Recruitment for the 2024-2025 school year for the Pre-Kindergarten Program. We provide a free, high-quality early learning experience for students who are 4 years old by December 1st of the current school year.
The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a state-funded prekindergarten program for four-year-old children with factors that may place them at risk. The program is sponsored by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and administered by Wayne RESA. Class sizes range from 16-18 students and meet four days per week. The program provides educational, health, mental health, and parental involvement services. Students selected for the Great Start Readiness Program must meet income guidelines.

Required documents needed for enrollment are:
- Original birth certificate
- Current immunization/shot records
- Child’s insurance card
- Proof of income (GSRP)
- Parent ID
