Dr. Jeffrey Robinson

 Dr. Jeffery D. Robinson is a native of Detroit Michigan and a product of the Detroit Public School system. He is currently the Principal of the Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy for the Detroit Public Schools Community District.  Dr. Robinson is one of the foremost experts in African Centered Education in DPSCD and is one of the original staff members of Malcolm X Academy the first public African Centered School in the country.

Dr. Robinson taught Math and Computer Science for 18 years and is state and nationally board-certified. He has received many awards for his work in education including the prestigious Milken Family Foundation’s National Educator of the Year Award in 2001, and Wayne County RESA Middle School Teacher of the Year 2003.  Being dedicated to knowledge production Dr. Robinson Adjunct Professor appointments in African American & African Studies Programs at Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University, as well as Adjunct Professor appointment in the College of Education at Wayne State University.
