Hello Gator Families,

Welcome back to the 2022-2023 school year! I hope your summer was fun, relaxing and that you were able to accomplish all that was planned. As we begin, I want you to know that, as the new Principal of Golightly Education Center, I look forward to having an amazing year!

Our first day of school for scholars is Monday, August 29, 2022. We are excited to welcome scholars back!

Our theme this year is, "Upward Together, Leading the Way". We want to continue to push the work of progressing our Scholars towards success. We have new initiatives this year that will help with the work to make this possible.

One initiative is working with the district to plan and move forward with identifying Golightly Education Center as a Gifted and Talented program. Please look out for more information to be shared!

We will begin the school day at 7:30 am and dismiss at 2:40 pm.
All scholars will arrive and be dismissed through Door 3.
Pre-K through 1st grade families will escort their scholars to their classrooms.

Our school uniform is as follows:

Elementary Scholars
Tan (Khaki), navy blue or black bottoms
Light blue-collar shirts

Middle School
Tan (Khaki), navy blue or black bottoms
White collar shirts

No hoodies
No Tank Tank/Halter tops
No T-shirts with graphics
No slides, flip-flops, sandals /Crocs
