FDA Mock Interviews 2025 Recap

On Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Frederick Douglass Academy for Young Men held a two-day Mock Interview event aimed at preparing students for the professional world. With the guidance of local business leaders, alumni, and community professionals, students participated in realistic interview scenarios designed to sharpen their communication skills, boost their confidence, and provide valuable feedback. Each student dressed in business attire and faced a panel of interviewers who posed questions on topics ranging from personal strengths and career goals to problem-solving and teamwork. The event was a powerful opportunity for the young men to practice articulating their ambitions and refining their responses in a supportive, hands-on environment. By the end of the event, students walked away with constructive critiques and a deeper understanding of the skills needed to succeed in college admissions, internships, and future career opportunities.
