Offering grades 9-12, Northwestern High School is committed to putting every student on a path to graduation and college.
Northwestern is a NAF, National Academies Foundation, and comprehensive high school offering multiple academic pathways for students to pursue a variety of studies. Beginning with our 9th Grade Success Academy, students are prepared for success in academics, which will allow them to select an upper-class course of study in one of the following areas: Health Sciences, Entrepreneurial, and Community Leadership, or STEM - Engineering. Students are immersed in a college-focused learning experience with high expectations and a school culture that values leadership and achievement in academics and athletics. Northwestern partners with several organizations, including United Way, Central Michigan University, Wayne State University, Lawrence Tech University, General Motors, UAW Ford, and our Pathways Advisory Board to provide students with multiple opportunities for internships, study abroad, work, and service learning opportunities designed to keep students engaged in school and on track for college success.
Our school motto is C.L.A.S.S. - Character - Leadership - Activity - Scholarship -Service! In teaching our students to value and embody these positive characteristics, we are preparing them for a bright future where they are the drivers of change in their home, community, city, state, and the world.
These are just a few reasons why Northwestern is the place to be!
