Atra Bell
Artra Bell is the 8th grade ELA and Master teacher. It gives her the best of both worlds. She is able to continue teaching what she loves while building her expertise beyond the classroom. Ms. Bell believes in taking a collaborative approach to coaching ELA instructors in Best Practices.
She has been teaching in metro Detroit for 13 years, mainly in high schools. Her experience provides a unique insight into what students need to be successful in middle school and beyond.
Ms. Bell earned her BS in Secondary Education with an emphasis on English and Health from Wayne State University. She gained her MS from Saginaw Valley State University in Educational Leadership. Her mission is to continue working with inner city youth. Ms. Bell looks forward to further partnering with parents, school, district, and community leaders to prepare the whole child.
