Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Rhonda Conyers
She has been employed with Detroit Public Schools for 22 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1996. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Reading which in 2004 from Wayne State University. Being a native Detroiter, Ms. Conyers wanted to share her knowledge and passion for learning with the children from her community. She has been a part of the Greenfield Union family for four years helping students achieve their goals.
Professionalism is having the skill and ability to go above and beyond what’s required to achieve a goal. As a teacher, She is always learning innovative techniques to improve student engagement as well academic achievements. She embraces Professional Development courses provided by the district and outside resources so that she is in the vanguard of education.
She believes a teacher must build and foster a communication link with each individual student in order to maximize the student’s potential. Ms. Conyers utilizes several techniques to accomplish this goal including but not limited to Direct Instruction, Small Group, Peer to Peer, as well as one on one.
Parent involvement is also a critical component to the success of any student. She has an open-door policy with parents to ensure that they have a clear understanding of classroom expectations as well as what’s expected at home. Together, we can and will achieve our goals.
