Academics & Electives
We draw upon the expertise of our educators and work together to create models of outstanding achievement in every classroom. Through implementing high-quality instructional materials and transforming the academic culture in our schools, we challenge and inspire our students to thrive in the world. With a wide variety of academic and enrichment opportunities aligned with state standards, we support students in unlocking their potential as they extend their skills and talents beyond the classroom. Our core curriculum includes:
· English Language Arts - We are committed to nurturing and developing a strong literacy foundation for all students in the early school years by implementing literacy instructional frameworks that prepare students to become independent readers and writers.
· Math - The mathematics curriculum seeks to ensure mathematical competence and confidence in students in mathematics-rich classroom environments.
· Science - Classroom experiences in science are connected to real-world phenomena and provide opportunities to engage in science and engineering practices through exposure to STEM-related career pathways.
· Social Studies - Students gain the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and core democratic values necessary for fulling their civic duties in a participatory democracy and effectively engaging in our global society.
. Physical Education: Our program includes a well-planned and well-executed learning experience selected to meet the current and projected needs of all students. This, along with other positive health practices, contribute to the quality of life, not only as a student but also as a future adult.

Academic Offerings
- EL Education has developed recommendations for implementation of the EL Education Grades K-8 Language Arts Curriculum for the school year. These adaptations of the curriculum will support a variety of learning environments.
- Eureka Math K-8:
- Eureka Math Equip–available for Grades 1-12–features sophisticated pre-module assessments that identify a student’s last point of success with the curriculum, a curated set of supporting lessons and fluency activities to help close those knowledge gaps and pacing guidance to keep instruction on schedule. Teachers can use Eureka Math Equip to get one student, several students, or an entire class up to speed without interrupting current grade-level work.
Thoughtfully constructed and designed like a story, Eureka Math is meticulously coherent with an intense focus on key concepts that layer over time, creating knowledge that will endure. Students gain a complete body of knowledge of math not just a discrete set of skills. Using the same models and problem-solving methods from grade to grade, math concepts stay with students year after year, and beyond
- I-Ready Online Learning:
- I-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment designed to provide teachers with actionable insight into student needs. The Diagnostic offers a complete picture of student performance and growth, eliminating the need for multiple, redundant tests. Diagnostic results also set a personalized learning path for each student, ensuring they are working on instruction that matches their unique learning needs.
I-Ready is a comprehensive assessment and instruction program that empowers educators with the resources they need to help all students succeed. By connecting Diagnostic data and Personalized Instruction, I-Ready reduces complexity, saves educators time, and makes differentiated instruction achievable in every classroom. I‑Ready:
Provides user-friendly dashboards and clear reports with actionable data that give teachers a foundational understanding of students’ strengths and areas of need
Enables educators to confidently determine each student’s on-grade level proficiency based on state and national standards
Delivers online lessons that provide tailored instruction and practice for each student to accelerate growth
Supports teachers with in-the-moment resources for remediation and reteaching at individualized, small group, and whole-class levels of instruction.

Edgenuity has provided courses for students since 1998, and through our experience with teachers, students, and parents, we built an engaging and effective curriculum that connects science, math, language arts, social studies, and elective courses to your student’s everyday world.
Using a combination of animations, simulations, video-led direct instruction, relevant websites, and a myriad of activities that support the lesson’s topic, students have a wealth of information at their fingertips that can be reviewed as many times as necessary to achieve mastery. Edgenuity strongly believes that each student is unique and acquires information in his or her own way. As a result of that belief, our courses are designed to provide students with activities that support the ways they learn best: seeing, hearing, and touching the course materials.
