Mrs. Lisa Papas

Lisa Papas grew up in the Detroit area and is a graduate of Wayne State University.  Mrs. Papas attended Wayne State on a Music Talent Scholarship and was featured as a soloist with many of the major choirs, assisted Professors and performed on stage in musicals, including the Bonstelle Theater.  
After a long break to stay home and raise her children, Mrs. Papas came back to music education.    
Mrs. Papas has been teaching primarily middle and high school for over a decade.  Her choirs and soloists have often received 1st division ratings at MSVMA festivals at both the district and state levels. Many of her alumni have been accepted into the music schools at a variety of major universities.   Mrs. Papas also has directed, produced, and choreographed stage musicals and brings a background in dance and choreography as well as a life-long experience in choral music. 
The daughter of two public school teachers and musicians, Lisa Papas grew up immersed in both music and education.    Mrs. Papas is excited to be working with students of all ages at Greenfield Union and is happy to be working in Detroit Schools!
 
Outside of school, Mrs. Papas enjoys spending time with John, her husband of 31 years, and their six children, grandson, and pets.   Mrs. Papas loves to read books and cook big meals for the family.
