Mrs. Murleen Coakley
Murleen Coakley is a Detroit native. She is a proud alumni of Cass Technical High School. Principal Coakley’s teaching career began in Detroit, MI. She has taught students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade, providing instruction to students with special needs and the gifted and talented.
After teaching for 20 years in the Detroit Public School system, she moved into school leadership as an Assistant Principal for five years before accepting the leadership role as Principal of Greenfield Union in 2017.
Professionally, she holds degrees from Wayne State University (B.A.; M.A. Teaching; & Ed.S.) and Central State University (Certificate of Educational Leadership).
Murleen currently resides in the City of Detroit with her husband and three children.
