Mr. Williams was born and raised in Detroit. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Graduate Certificate in African-American Studies (2010). The populations he served are individuals with developmental delay, children’s mental health, homelessness, housing, and adult mental health. Recently, he received his Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. Laurence wants to continue his passion for working with children and young people by applying his knowledge and skills at Turning Point Academy.

Gemma Haynes is a dedicated School Social Worker with a passion for supporting students' holistic well-being. She actively collaborates with educators and community resources to enhance students' academic success and emotional resilience. With 12 years of experience in educational settings, 5 years of outpatient mental health and 1 year in community health, she is able to positively impact students with her combined experiences.

Mr. Price received a BSW from Eastern Michigan University and an MSW from Wayne State University. He has practiced social work arena for 14 years. Mr. Price has a background in providing psychiatric emergency services, clinical services for the severely mentally ill, child welfare, jail diversion, case management for citizens returning from incarceration and teaching fatherhood engagement skills. His most recent experience has been with the City of Detroit's Housing and Revitalization department. Detroit Police Department as a Precinct Social Worker and Detroit Receiving Hospital Crisis Center as a Psychiatric Social Worker. Mr. Price has a passion for helping and empowering others. His goal is to use his skills, experience and genuine concern for others to uplift and encourage students at Turning Point Academy.

Mrs. Marbury, is a dedicated school social worker with experience of supporting students with disabilities and fostering strong family and school partnerships. With a Master's degree in Social Work and a Limited License MSW social worker, Mrs Marbury has worked in diverse educational settings, including elementary and secondary schools. Mrs. Marbury's passion lies in advocating for students with special needs, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and support to thrive academically and socially.
