Mr. Adrian Johnson
Mason Academy Family,
It is with great pleasure and pride that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly hired Principal of Mason Academy. I am honored to be entrusted with the responsibility and opportunity to lead a school with a rich history and tradition of education! I’ve come to Mason with several years of experience as a Professional Counselor, working with Individuals with Disabilities to assist them in finding and maintaining employment, as a Special Education Teacher, teaching both Resource classes as well as an EI Self-Contained classroom, Special Education Director, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Most recently, I served as School Principal of Fostering Leadership Academy, a K-8 charter school located in Redford, MI.
Along with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Mason by building strong relationships with staff, parents, students, and community partners. Our team will utilize data to intentionally inform our instructional practices and we will incorporate the use of technology into our lessons to ensure exposure to 21st-century skills for all students. We will also have a specific focus on increasing Maltese Tiger Pride by creating a school culture where teachers love to teach, and students love to learn.
All of us here at Mason Academy are eager and excited to begin what promises to be an exciting school year. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students, and parents- are excited to be here! This attitude will enable us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.
My door is always open, and I welcome your input and feedback. Please feel free to call or email me directly to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the year.
I look forward to a successful 2021-2022 school year!
Educationally,
Mr. Adrian Johnson, Ed.S., LPC
