Greetings Edison Tigers!

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are so happy to have our students and staff back on Monday, August 26th, at 7:30 AM. We're starting a new year full of growth, learning, and success. Our current report card grade is a B, but we are working hard to achieve an A, and we need your help to make this happen.

We hope you had a great summer filled with fun and special moments with your family. Now, as we come back to school, we're excited to keep pushing for excellence at Edison. Our goal is to earn an A on our report card, and we're all in this together!

Our amazing staff has been learning and preparing all summer to give our students the best education possible. We are proud of our beautiful school and expect great things from each student. Our staff is here to support every student, making sure they feel valued, safe, and accepted.

Attendance is very important for a successful school year. Studies show that missing 18 days or more can really hurt a student’s learning. Being late or leaving early can also make it harder to keep up.

At Edison, we need your help to make sure your child is at school every day. Encourage them to complete 50 minutes of iReady each week with a score of 80% or higher on each lesson, and to finish four math Zearn lessons every week. These steps are key to helping them do well in school.

Working together with families is crucial for a smooth and healthy start to the school year. We need parent volunteers to help us reach our goal of an A. You can sign up to help with morning entry, dismissal, or supporting staff during the day at https://dpscd.galaxydigital.com/. You can also join Edison’s PTA when school starts.

We’re also excited to introduce the "Principal's Porch" at Edison, a new way for us to connect online every other week through Teams. This is a great chance to share ideas and make Edison an even better place. You’ll find the link to join on your child’s Teams calendar.

Edison uses Class Dojo for all school communications. Families can check Class Dojo on a computer or a mobile app. You will get individual class links during the first week of school. Please sign up at the link below and stay connected through our social media and periodic robo-calls or texts.
