Greetings Keidan Families,

My name is Christina Rouser and I have the pleasure and honor of being the Assistant Principal here at Keidan Special Education Center. This is my 29^th year with Detroit Public Schools Community District. I have worked in different capacities within the district. I am also a proud DPSCD Alumni. My work experiences within the district include, being a special-education paraprofessional, working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, a special education teacher for over 13 1/2 years, educating students with disabilities that include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cognitive Impairment, Emotional Impairment, Other Health Impairment and Learning Disability, Academic Engagement Administrator that mirrors the duties, roles and responsibilities as an Assistant Principal and also Dean of Culture & Climate that entailed addressing discipline, incorporating behavior management strategies, Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) implementation, parental engagement and improving the overall culture and climate of the school. I look forward to serving in my fifth year as the Assistant Principal to the students, parents, and staff of Keidan Special Education Center. It is my mission to align my role as the Assistant Principal with the districts Blue Print 2020 Strategic Plan, improve the school culture and climate with the overall goal being student safety, student centered and student achievement for our Keidan Kubs.
