Mrs. Christina M. Rouser, Ed. S.
Greetings Parents and Visitors,
My name is Christina Rouser, and I have the honor and privilege of serving as the Assistant Principal at Keidan Special Education Center. This marks my 30th year with Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) — a journey I take great pride in as both an educator and a proud DPSCD alumna.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to serve our students in a variety of roles. I began as a special education paraprofessional, working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I later became a special education teacher for more than 13 years, where I had the privilege of educating students with a range of exceptionalities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cognitive Impairment, Emotional Impairment, Other Health Impairments, and Learning Disabilities.
My leadership experiences within the district include roles such as Academic Engagement Administrator, which mirrors the responsibilities of an assistant principal, and Dean of Culture & Climate—where I focused on student discipline, behavior management strategies, PBIS implementation, family engagement, and building a positive school culture and climate.
As I enter my sixth year as Assistant Principal at Keidan, I remain committed to serving our students, families, and staff with integrity, compassion, and dedication. My mission is to align my leadership with Blueprint 2020, DPSCD’s Strategic Plan, while prioritizing a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment where our Keidan Kubs can thrive and achieve success.
With sincere gratitude,
Christina M. Rouser, Ed.S
