Mrs. Rosa Glover-Adams

Mrs. Adams is an alumni of Detroit Public Schools, and has been an educator for 22 years. She was a teacher for 18 years, having taught at Cooke Elementary School, Vetal-Elementary-Middle SchoolClara Rutherford Academy, Baylor-Woodson Elementary School, and Mackenzie Elementary-Middle School.  

Mrs. Adams provided Professional Development for teachers on implementing Open Court Curriculum. She traveled to different schools to provide the professional development for teachers and students within the district. Staff and students also came to Clara Rutherford Academy to see Mrs. Adams and her students in action.  

Mrs. Adams was presented a “Dispelling the Myth” award in 2011 by the National Education Trust for her unyielding commitment and instructional efforts resulting in high achievement advancing the academic potential for all students.  

Mrs. Adams has been an administrator for four years, serving at Mackenzie Elementary-Middle School as the Dean of Students for one year and Assistant Principal for three years. Mrs. Adams is a “Passionate Educator” when it comes to kids getting a quality education. She believes in building lifelong relationships with students and parents. Mrs. Adams essential goal at Barton Elementary School, is to ensure that every student feels valued and enjoy learning on a daily basis.
