School Uniform Policy

    All Thurgood Marshall School students are required to adhere to the uniform dress code & this policy will be strictly enforced.

    The following is the required uniform dress code policy for the current school year: 

    Pre K-2nd Grade:  White shirts with collar & blue/black pants/skirt - White, black, or navy sweater is optional.

    3rd Grade:  Light Blue collar shirts & Khaki pants/skirt- White, black or light blue sweater is optional.

    4th Grade: Yellow shirts with collar & Khaki pants/skirt- White, black, or yellow sweater is optional.

    5th Grade: Black shirts with collar & Khaki pants/skirt- White or black sweater is optional.

    6th Grade: Green shirts with collar and Black pants/skirt- White or black sweater is optional.

    7th Grade: Red shirts with collar & Black pants/skirt- Red or black sweater is optional.

    8th Grade: Purple Shirts with collar & Black pants/skirt- Purple or black sweater is optional.

    Thurgood Marshall themed apparel is also allowed.

    In addition, students should be aware of the attire that does not qualify as appropriate under the uniform dress code policy:

    • No denim
    • No shorts, capris, sagging pants, or big buckled belts
    • No hooded sweatshirts, extra long t-shirts, sleeveless shirts, or shirts that expose the upper body
    • No shirts with logos and/or writing or colored t-shirts underneath clothing
    • No hats, bandanas, scarves, "du-rags", or headbands unless part of free dress/spirit day.
