Mr. Lawrence Fitz

Lawrence Fitz is a professional STEM administrator, author and consultant. Over the past two decades he has served as a dedicated educator and business owner. He has an earned Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Physics. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education as well as an Educational Specialist’s Degree in School Administration. 

Lawrence Fitz is from a family of educators with a mission of Servant Leadership.  Fitz enjoys working out, reading, sailing, world travel and collecting.    Fitz’s work ethic shows that he is caring, committed and concerned.  Co-workers have given him the title of being the “Smartest and Hardest Working Man in Education”.

Mr. Barry Cannon

Barry Cannon is the Assistant Principal and Athletic Coordinator for King High School. Mr. Cannon holds a Bachelors degree from Olivet College in Sociology/Physical Education, a Masters of Arts in Teaching and Ed Specialists (Administration) from Wayne State University. Prior to joining DPS/DPSCD, Mr. Cannon worked as a certified Social Worker with Boysville of Michigan and Todd Phillips Childrens Home. He has also been a basketball coach and athletic coordinator.

Dr. Dennis Myles

Dr. Myles is a proud graduate of Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School! He considers it an honor and privilege to serve the community that once served him.

Dr. Myles earned a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his graduate studies at Wayne State University, where he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching, the Education Specialist in Administration, and the Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Myles taught mathematics and physics at Cody High School before being promoted to Mathematics Curriculum Leader and Assistant Prinicipal.

Dr. Myles' professional guiding principle is to "Leave the world better than he found it".
