Ms. DeCheena Tillman

DeCheena Tillman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Florida A & M University. Ms. Tillman also holds a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology and an Educational Specialist certificate in Administration from Wayne State University.

In 1996, she started her career in education with Detroit Public Schools at Golightly Career and Technical Center as a building substitute. She later taught Business Education classes at Denby Technical and Preparatory High School. While at Denby, she became a Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Cross Country (Indoor/Outdoor), and a Track & Field Coach. She also has experience in teaching and coordinating Work-Based Learning opportunities at A. Philip Randolph Career and Technical Center.

Some of her accomplishments during her teaching career included teaching hundreds of students, acquiring job opportunities, developing Business Professionals of America (National Qualifiers), and training scholar-athletes.

She was awarded the "Outstanding Educator" Award from Communities in Schools.
