Dear Parents and Students of Central High School,
We are excited to welcome our 9th graders, all new students and our returning Central Trailblazers for the 2022-2023 school year! We have high expectations for all our students as we strive to prepare them for college and career readiness. One of the most important goals is maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. When we work together, students can reach their full potential while attaining credits for graduation. Attendance is vital to our students’ academic success. Students are expected to attend all classes each day on time for each class and to remain in school the entire school day.
Here are some reminders we would like to bring to our Central family’s attention. Please monitor and assist with the following:
- School starts every day at 8:00 a.m. promptly and ends at 3:20 p.m. School doors open at 7:40.
- Students arriving after 10:00 a.m. will be required to have a parent escort them into the building.
- Students with more than ten (10) unexcused absences during the school year will be considered truant and will be reported accordingly to DHS and/or Wayne County.
- Early Sign-outs – Early release is discouraged within the final thirty (30) minutes of the school day
- ALL EARLY SIGNOUTS REQUIRE AN I.D. FOR SAFETY REASONS
Delivered Food:
- THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO DOOR DASH, GRUB HUB OR FOOD BEING DELIVERED FROM ANY OUTSIDE SOURCE. LUNCH SHOULD BE BROUGHT INTO THE BUILDING AT TIME OF ENTRY.
Respectfully,
LaToyia Webb, Principal
