Mr. Marlon McDowell

Marlon McDowell is a graduate of Detroit Public Schools Cooley High School. Mr. McDowell is a proud HBCU graduate from Central State University and Wilberforce University. While transitioning to Ohio, McDowell earned two Bachelor's degrees; a Bachelor of Science, one in early childhood education, and the second degree in organizational management. Mr. McDowell earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-Nebraska.

Currently, he serves as the Dean of Culture at Central High School. Before his position at CHS, he taught in Dayton, Ohio, and served as a master personal trainer. Mr. McDowell's responsibilities as a Dean of Culture include assisting the school with significant duties in PBIS and restorative practices, redirecting culture, and administering classroom management. Mr. McDowell continues to mentor Central High School students and helps many students and graduates with character building and professional development, keeping them ready, prepared, and focused on their education and success in the next steps in their lives.
