Mrs. Chalena Beasley

Mrs. Chalena Beasley is a lifelong Detroiter, product of Detroit Public Schools, and proud graduate of Cass Technical High School. All four of her children also attended DPSCD schools. She received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University and a Master's in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. Currently, Mrs. Beasley is an Educational Leadership Ph.D. candidate at Wayne State University.

Mrs. Beasley has been in education for over 25 years and has served as a teacher, District School Improvement Coach, Curriculum Director, School Improvement Facilitator, and Assistant Principal. As a teacher, she obtained her National Board-Certification. She is an instructional leader, dedicated to doing what is best for all students. 

Mrs. Beasley enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and roller skating.  Her favorite quote is from Ellen Johnson Sirleaf,  "If your dreams don't scare you, they are not big enough."
