Please be advised that as of Tuesday, September 9, 2025, early student pick-up cannot occur after 3:00 p.m. Some of our parents pick their students up early every day without regard for the instructional time they miss. If students are picked up thirty minutes early every day, they lose an average of two and a half hours of instruction each week and twelve and a half hours each month. Students missing that much instructional time are not receiving the full benefit of their education. School administration asks parents to schedule student appointments before or after dismissal. Most days, teachers assess what children have learned during the school day between 3:00 and 3:55 p.m.

If your student is absent for this assessment, their education could be jeopardized. Paul Robeson Malcolm X Academy is committed to providing quality education by any means necessary. Limiting students from being picked up early daily is one of those means. Thanks to all parents for their support of this educational standard.
