• OFFICIAL REQUESTS AND SCHOOL TRANSFERS 


  • If you are a school official, or you represent a federal, state, or legal department and are attempting to obtain digital copies of transcripts or other student-related documentation, please follow these steps. 

    1. Before contacting us, please verify that the student was previously enrolled at Thurgood Marshall within the last 15 years. You will be asked to confirm the academic year which the student was enrolled in, as well as whether they completed the year or not. If the student was at Marshall 15 or more years prior, please contact DPSCD Student Records directly to obtain records.
    2. Upon verification of previous enrollment status, please submit an official Records Release Request form to helen.mcknight@detroitk12.org.

    Please note: the information you receive will be digitized. If you require a hard copy CA60/80, or if you are attempting to check the status of an ongoing hard copy request, please contact our Incoming Records Coordinator, Mia Black at mia.black@detroitk12.com for more information.

    Please note the preceding guidelines are intended for official personnel only. If you are a parent trying to obtain a copy of your student's records, please contact our office.
