Greetings Vernor Families,

I hope that this letter finds you well and enjoying the last days of summer. As we begin a new school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the academic success of the previous year. Our students demonstrated exceptional growth and achievement. Our students worked very hard on their district and summative testing. Their hard work moved our school’s letter grade from a D to a C. I would like to thank your child and you, as a parent, for working with your student this past year. Without your support and their determination, this achievement would not have been met.

This year we will continue to focus on developing critical thinking skills, fostering creativity and promoting collaboration among students. The theme for the 2024-2025 school year is “Dare to Dream.” We want to continue to encourage students to set high goals and believe in their potential. To achieve this, we encourage open communication between home and school; your involvement is key to your child’s success.

I am excited about the upcoming school year. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing the best instruction, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to support your child’s growth and development. Thank you for entrusting Vernor Elementary-Middle School with your child’s education; it is truly an honor.
