Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am excited to welcome new and returning students to Moses Field Center. The upcoming school year will include many changes, including new community partnerships, expanded opportunities for parent involvement, improved learning resources, and facility upgrades. We are committed to helping each student work toward reaching their highest level of functional independence and their full potential.
At Moses Field Center, we recognize that a successful partnership between school and home is vital to the success of our students. We understand that we share responsibility for your child's growth and development. We take this responsibility seriously and strive to create a safe and comfortable space for parents and guardians to share openly. Here are some ways you can get involved:
Parent Engagement Meetings – Parent Engagement Meetings will be held in school monthly. The meeting dates are posted in the school calendar.
School Advisory Council – The School Advisory Committee (SAC) is a monthly gathering of internal and external stakeholders who work on critical school issues. Our meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 10:00 am. These meetings are essential for informing everyone about the school's progress and challenges.
Volunteer – There are many ways to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering or have plans to attend a field trip, you must complete a Volunteer Application. This process is required annually for any visitors who may encounter students.
We aim to keep you informed of important information using multiple means of communication: Robocalls, school website, Facebook, and our printed monthly school calendar. IMPORTANT: Our robocall system is used to send important announcements, such as school closings. Please ensure that you are opted in to receive critical district and school messages.
I look forward to seeing you and your student very soon!
