We draw upon the expertise of our educators and work together to create models of outstanding achievement in every classroom. Through implementing high-quality instructional materials and transforming the academic culture in our schools, we challenge and inspire our students to thrive in the world. With a wide variety of academic and enrichment opportunities aligned with state standards, we support students in unlocking their potential as they extend their skills and talents beyond the classroom. Our core curriculum includes:
Bilingual Education - We are committed to English Language Development for students beginning in early childhood by implementing English literacy instructional frameworks that prepare families to become independent readers and writers in English.
English Language Arts - We are committed to nurturing and developing a strong literacy foundation for all students in the early school years by implementing literacy instructional frameworks that prepare students to become independent readers and writers.
Math - The mathematics curriculum seeks to ensure mathematical competence and confidence in students in mathematics-rich classroom environments.
Science - Classroom experiences in science are connected to real-world phenomena and provide opportunities to engage in science and engineering practices through exposure to STEM-related career pathways.
Social Studies - Students gain the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and core democratic values necessary for fulfilling their civic duties in a participatory democracy and effectively engaging in our global society.
Adapted PE - involves games and activities that have been modified to accommodate students with disabilities or who have gross motor delays. We applaud our PE teacher for providing an inclusive physical education curriculum program for our diverse groups of students!

Moses Field teachers use research-based, direct instruction curriculum to support our student's academic growth.
Our CI (Cognitive Impairment) classrooms primarily use the Attainment curriculum that blends literacy, technology, print, and communication activities. Our teachers focus on IEP goals and objectives as they teach basic literacy and numeracy skills and blend functional academics to meet the needs of our student population. Unique Learning Systems Curriculum is a supplemental curriculum that our teachers combine with Attainment to provide an academic curriculum that includes reading, writing, math, science, and social studies concepts.
Our SXI (Severely Cognitively Impaired, Severely Multiply Impaired) classroom uses the Attainment curriculum that blends literacy, technology, print, and communication activities.
Our ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classrooms use the Styer-Fitzgerald Program to address the academic needs of our students. Our teachers blend academic skills, functional skills, and Applied Behavior Analysis in their classrooms with the express purpose of enhancing independence.
All our academic curriculums include pre and post-assessment tools to allow our staff to closely monitor student progress and easily adapt teaching strategies to best meet the unique needs of the learners we have at Moses Field Center.

At Moses Field, we know how important it is to have a well-rounded curriculum, and our students have an elective or "specials" class daily.
Adapted PE
Our Physical Education Teacher has units that teach our students team sports and individual sports. Our students use adaptive equipment to match their physical skills and learn how to exercise their bodies for increased life-long health. Often, our occupational therapists and physical therapists will join our PE classes to further support IEP goals and objectives.

Art
Our art teacher aligns the curriculum to national and state standards for art education. Our students learn the principles of art and elements of design as they work on their ability to create unique works of art. Often, the projects our students are creating are tied to seasonal, holiday, or literacy themes to create a rich and well-rounded experience for our students.
P. Bryant
Mr. Bryant encourages creativity and self-expression among the Moses Field Center students. Always attentive when picking visual art themes that enhance the learning process, not just for students but for staff as well. Using discussions with children and sharing experiences to shape social and emotional interaction skills. By inviting students to “title” their art, you are inviting them to use art as a language. Encouraging Moses Field students to use their hands to manipulate clay, finger paint, and drawing helps with fine motor skills, which are the same skills that are needed in learning how to write letters and words.
His point of view, life is hard now, especially for children who shouldn’t have to experience the cruelness, learning that over the years of educating when a student misbehaves because somewhere in their life their needs are not being met. Even though I am limited in making the situation better, art gives me a chance to be kind and to show I care through different forms of art.
