STUDENT CELL PHONE POLICY
Students are encouraged to keep their cell phones at home. If the parent determines the child may take the cell phone to school, please note the following:- The school discourages bringing cell phones to school.
- The device is considered improper when and if it is turned on or seen.
- Cell phones will be collected from students as soon as they enter the building.
- Phones will be returned to students upon their dismissal from school.
- For early dismissal, phones will be returned to the student or parent/guardians in the main office.
- THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THE PHONE IS LOST, DAMAGED, OR STOLEN.
- The staff is authorized to seize any cell phone that is seen or turned on.
- Any cell phone used to video a fight will be confiscated and may result in the suspension of students.
CONSEQUENCES- 1st OFFENSE- Parents must come to school to retrieve the device
- 2nd OFFENSE - Device is turned in to the Dean's office to which the Dean will refer to the Student Code of Conduct.
