Durfee Middle School offers a Track and Field program for boys and girls. Students must maintain a 2.0 to participate.

Girls volleyball
Girls 6-8 grade Volleyball is a sport for students to use their hands to hit a ball back and forth over a net, trying to make the ball touch the floor within the team's playing area before the ball can be returned. A sport for teamwork and communication. The team is coached by Ms. Hannah Johnson. If you have any questions, contact Ms. Johnson via email at hannah.johnson@detroitk12.org. Girls & Boys Basketball

The Durfee Basketball Team consists of the the 5th – 6th Grade Boys & 7th-8th Grade Girls & Boys Basketball League.

The Basketball Coaches are Durfee Attendance Officer, Ms. Coach Brown and Coach Northfleet .

The team holds practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 P.M. to 5 P.M.

Academic Games
Academic games are competitive, educational activities designed to challenge students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and knowledge in subjects like mathematics, language arts, social studies, and logic.
Students have the opportunity to attend academic games practice held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00p- 5:30.

Pretty Brown Girls
The Pretty Brown Girl Club at Durfee Elementary-Middle School will meet on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. This empowering program is designed to celebrate and inspire young girls of color by promoting self-confidence, leadership skills, and positive identity development. The meeting will include engaging activities focused on self-love, goal-setting, and collaboration, fostering a supportive community among participants. 5,000 Role Models of Excellent Project
Young men who participate in the "5,000 Role models of Excellence Project/Mentor program". Meet every Friday from 10:45-11:45. Each week we have a different guest speaker. Once a month a a group of 6 boys are choosen to help with the Gleaners staff and dispense the food to the community. Any severe behavior issues will cause for them not to participate during that weeks session. Their grade expectation is a 3.0.
