Spelling Bee
Students at Durfee participate in a Spelling Bee where they are asked to spell a broad selection of words. To compete, contestants must memorize the spellings of words as written in dictionaries, and recite them accordingly. The winner can advance to the various competitions that could lead to the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee.
