Lisa McCaskill

As a Detroit native and product of Detroit Public Schools, Lisa McCaskill knew firsthand what an education from the DPSCD can provide. If not for the knowledge and skills she learned from the Foreign Language Immersion and Cultural Studies (FLICS) school and Cass Technical HS, she would not be the educator she is today. Lisa began her educational career a little over 13 years ago. Since then, she has been in numerous positions, from a Data & Assessment Coordinator to a Science Teacher and, most recently, a Dean of Culture. Mrs. McCaskill received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spelman College, a teaching certificate, and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Madonna University. Lisa has also been a volleyball coach, Academic Games coach, NJHS advisor, and GOTR coach/mentor throughout her educational journey.

Her mission is for every child to receive an equitable education and all of the resources they need to excel in their future goals, careers, and beyond. Lisa is excited to be a part of the Jungaleer family and is eager to lead SE's Culture Leadership Team toward a new and positive direction.
